I don't get it.  Why is "fall" in "Woodfall" supposed to imply wetness?  Rain??  I would imagine a lot of downed trees etc., old mossy stuff. 

I'd say the same, but the temple is located at the basis of a waterfall, making the nature of that reference fairly evident...

Actually, the water-spewing volcano of the Deku Swamp is probably one of the coolest locations in any Zelda game, I've always thought.
