The point about the touchscreen isn't entirely a negative. There are a lot of positives behind using a resistive screen instead of capacitive. Some of those include cheaper production, being able to use a normal stylus, and vastly greater precision. If you ask me, while multitouch WOULD be nice to have, it may not necessarily be the best choice for the Nintendo crowd.
Price IS the biggest detractor, though. That's so much for a handheld.
