UTV Ignition Softworks had an operating loss of 75 million pounds from their gaming sector this year, the article screwed up, they mistranslated the info or they're taking the reported revenue loss and connecting it to El Shaddai because it's a new and upcoming release. It's a really shifty thing to do or they may be really stupid. Ignition usually deal with extremely small and niche titles (Muramasa and Deadly Premontion are a couple of examples), I highly doubt they'd suddenly splurge more money than they've made on all their titles put together on a single game. Also, just in case anyone's wondering, Ignition Entertainment isn't a Japanese company, they're a British company owned by an Indian communications company. Outside of the Final Fantasy games, no Japanese game cost any where near that much to develop this generation. |
i also didnt believe this, this news has spiked my interest in the game though...
and havent Metal Gear Solid 4, Resident Evil 5 or even Gran Turismo 5 cost about the same as Final Fantasy 13. if so then i am shocked, i thought GT5 wouldve been more expensive tbh.
