I guess it would be possible for SONY to track you're entire hand if they made a glove of some sort with enough lights/what ever indicator they decide should be recognised by the camera. If the camera has the resolution for it and the lights/indicators are positioned properly, it would be possible for you to play a gontroller game without the controller, pretending you have a dualshock in your hand. Anything's possible I suppose.
Personally, I want a Break-Apart/Move controller.
Essentially a dualshock in shape with the move controller's lights (obviously shrunken and no longer a ball) on the system. The controller would be able to split in two and snap back together. SONY had a video of the break apart controller on gametrailers a while back. I'll try to find it.
EDIT: Can't find the video... Just some patents from 2008 or so. The video is much older than that and the controller demonstrated just looked like dualshock that could split into two.
