Games are not toys. They are two ontologically separate sets of items, just like plants and animals. Games are play-based sources of entertainment, however, and in that sense they share many characteristics with toys.

That is a joke, right? Games have always been and will always be considered toys. I have NO clue why people consider that descriptive term to be an insult. Toys are freaking awesome.

You're new to speaking to Helios, i see. He's not putting any stock in the whole idea that "games as toys" is derogatory, he's merely asserting that the two are different in their first principle, though serve much of the same functions
