Resident evil was rebooted?

4-5 as over the shoulder action shooters didnt seem a reboot to you?

No... thats not a reboot, lots of series go through redesigh in gameplay especially long running series. A Reboot means to completely start from scratch sometimes characters return with a freshbackground, sometimes its completely new character, plot... basic Reboot = Start from scratch.

"A Reboot means to completely start from scratch sometimes characters return with a freshbackground"

bought back chris redfield, completely changed his looks, completeley changed the scrapped the enemies from the origional, completely changed the players view from the origional, completley changed it to a level system with checkpoints, completely changed the way to go about the weopons system

apart from herbs, the game title characters and the fact it has some form of enemies, how is it the same as the origional? that is a complete overhaul of the game

Man That happens ALL the time. Lots of Game Design Elements/art change over time to reflect current Gen Standards. Metroid Prime is substantially different than Classic series but its not Reboot. RE4-5 Still foloows the Same Story, Sames Characters, Same settings, Same timeframe, but redesigned to reflect more modern games. Reboot Means to Restart ... Nothing has been restarted in RE. Look at how many game redesigns METAL GEAR went through... is it a Reboot?

Your obviously not understanding what im saying, Metal gear solids  GAMEPLAY has not altered what so ever , the 4th still plays and feels like the first one
im not sure how you think the gameplay has been redesigned  in MGS?

Resident evil settings are not the same.....at all.. from built up cities, buildings with exploration and the abilitiy to go back, to resident evil 4-5 where your on a set path with checkpoints and its chaptered, how are you deneying that this is TOTALY DIFFERENT?
