It's almost certainly more animated than Beavis & Butt-Head. |
I found the show to be an acquired taste. I love it now, after having seen it constantly on Cartoon Network throughout 2009 and 2010 (and this year), but it took me a while to really "get" it, though it was the same way with quite a few shows on this list. When i first started watching Futurama and American Dad at their respective times, i thought The Simpsons and Family Guy were vastly superior, but Family Guy i felt collapsed quicker, while the Simpsons have recovered slightly since the Movie, but the point is now i really appreciate Futurama (though the Simpsons, especially in their heyday, were far superior), and actually think American Dad is consistently better than Family Guy (especially once they really started to explore the show outside of the whole "lol he's a pigheaded CIA agent" thing)
The Boondocks i love, but find harder to compare directly to the others. The Boondocks is like if Spike Lee was more self-deprecating and actually funny. Left-wing black humor, but it's more similar to Chappelle's Show in that it mocks many of the tenats of black american culture (tears Tyler Perry a new one in one episode, actually to the point where Perry threatened to stop producing his shows for TBS because another Turner network was airing that)

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
