Well what would you like?
Personally I think a vr headset is perfect for racing games, flying games or anything else where you control a vehicle from first person view.
Augmented reality with transparent glasses will be a great novelty and maybe even bring forth some fun games. Imagine tumble where the stack is projected on the table in front of you while you can walk around it and attack it from different angles.
Walking around with it will always be akward since you'll need a controller for that while you can freely look around. It will be like driving a wheelchair through an fps.
It won't do anything for third person shooters or platform games except give you cross talk free 3D. Maybe in those cases they can use the headtracking to actually keep the 3D image in the same place as if you're watching a stage in front of you.
It's not suited for all or most games, but flying a plane or racing a car with a vr headset, sold! Being able to watch 3D movies on it is a nice bonus too.
