Of course, if reports are true, Gamestop and the like aren't taking in used copies of this game...so win for Capcom? |
This is largely why I prefer cart based games to be new, as I know the saves will be fresh.
Also, this goes to show that IP laws don't give companies the right to customers buying their stuff no matter what. They go heavy with DRM, and pirates just try harder. They push for blu-ray, as it gives the companies more control, and customers flock to streaming video, which gives the themselves more control. Sony tries an all digital game system, refuses to pass on the savings from cutting out the middle man*, and the systemsells poorly. Nintendo likely ticked off a lot of people with locking VC games to one system (unless you do a transfer) and how they are handling the 3DS digital service.
* With some exceptions, like I got Disgaea 2 on download for less than on a disc.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs
