So it's worse than the current "Slim" model?
They removed the Wireless LED... which I use when I see that a download is taking forever, when the trophies take long to sync, etc, to see if the LED is blinking. If it is then I know that I didn't lose connection and that my internet is just slow. If it isn't then I know I lost connection so I go and unplug/plug my modem and router again. I know there are error messages too, but they only appear for a few seconds and if I wasn't looking at my PS3 when the error message appeared, the only way to realize that I lost connection is to look at the wireless light.

Also, they went for a worse heatsink? that would make the system run hotter because of worse heat dissipation, right?

And they replaced the 120mm fan for a 80mm fan? that means the new fan will need to run at a higher RPM to be able to cool the PS3 down as much as the 120mm fan would at a lower RPM... which means this new "Slim" will be louder...

So the PS3 will run hotter than the current "Slim", will run louder more often and won't have the wireless light...

Well... at least it weighs less and consumes around 4w less... lol. It will also cost less to produce for Sony... and maybe will come with a price cut.

They should've really shrunk the RSX and CELL but I think they'll do that next year.

If I didn't have a PS3, I'd buy one now or wait until they shrink the chips. I wouldn't buy the CECH3000 model... but this is just my personal opinion... if someone wants to wait for this model to get a PS3 they should do it. It will probably come with a price cut so it could be worth it.
