I know why I want them at least. I feel priviliged that I've grown up with the parents that I have and been raised the way I have, and I feel really happy to be alive and living my own life. To me, life is the greatest gift you can give, and having the ability and knowledge to raise a child who can enjoy life is also a responsibility I take seriously because of it. I want to share life, and what better way to do it then by having kids? The fact that I know I can support them and teach them good values only helps, and I hope I'll be able to look back on my life and pat myself on the back for a job well done. If I don't at least try to have kids, then I can't do that. But that's just me anyway. |
Man, I think I should combine my post with yours.
I didn't want to make the cheese meter explode by saying that "life is the greatest gift you can give", but it sure as hell is true. Nice to see more people seeing having kids like I do.
