Obviously they're not going to say "We wish we were Nintendo"; the only thing notable about that comment is how reasonably he said it. They're saving up their PR blunders for a rainy day apparently.
In fact, of the stuff you quoted, the only thing I'd call at all remarkable is the "halfway through lifecycle" claim. Most likely this refers to the "comatose console finally stops breathing" goal year, which they won't even necessarily achieve.
