Marriage does bring about several lega lrights, which really is a big deal. Especially considering how vulnerable same-sex couples are to prejudice (for example hospitals often refuse gay people the right to visit their significant others because they're not "family", which is something quite laughable).

Which is why I said it shouldn't have been a big deal for the opposition either. It should have always been an option and should really have been determined through a church if they wanted to marry the couple or not.
