This package comes on 15 discs, right?

Ridiculous imo - so, thanks, but no.

You're passing it up because there's too much stuff in the package?

Six blu-ray discs for the movies, nine DVDs for the extra material.

Yes. I got the extended DVD editions of all 3 movies and that's all I need - actually it's already more than I never needed. I watched all bonus features and I think there's no other director who puts as much effort and dedication in the documentation of his movies than Peter Jackson. He set a new standard with the bonus featrues of his extended editions.

But 70€ for the same movies and 26 hours of bonus features which I've already (mostly) watched? No, thanks. As much as the documentations/behind the scenes impressed me - I don't want to see them ever again. Right in the middle of watching the extra features I thought I goonna kill myself and took a break of several weeks.

This is an edition for the die-hardest LotR fans, the one to bind them all - again. The extended DVDs are all I need for the next 10 years or so, as I'm just a standard fan.

I'll wait for The Lord of the Rings Trilogy plus The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey / There and Back Again holographic 3D download edition (available in 2022, extended edition with The Silmarillion - Book One: Ainulindalë preview exclusively on iHolo).
