I see a future where you have a tablet PC, and you can:

  • Plug a keyboard and mouse into it for greater functionality
  • Plug game controllers into it and play games
  • Digitally download all your media needs through online retail services (Lovef!lm, Netflix, Spotify, Qriocity etc)
I know you can actually do all this at the minute, but not very well. If you want to to work, a Laptop is still superior, and if you want to play games, Game Machines are still superior.
But, once Tablets become significantly more powerful and less expensive, surely they will replace the need for most Laptops/pc's and Game Machines.
How many years are we from this point? Or will there always be a strong demand for PC/Laptops and more traditional Game Machines?
