From the reviews I've read it's just not as complete as iOS/Android. Also it focuses (somewhat understandably) on Bing, which is a search engine I can't stand as it never seems to give me the droids results I'm looking for.

Well, Nokia will be using the next version of WP7, which was recently reviewed by the press (it's not out until some time in the fall, so there are still bugs and features not ready for primetime, but there was still enough to put out thorough enough reviews). You can see them here if you like, but the conclusion is fairly uniform in that the Mango update is huge, and WP7 finally feels complete with it.

As for Bing, I can't really say much other than the WP7 implementation has been upped. Here's an overview of what it does now:
