Sorry, but I was reading all of the posts and came across this. I don't want to push a debate on this thread, but I had to respond to what you said in this paragraph. I was right on with a lot of what you are saying, cAPSLOCK except for this.
By in large I did not see rioters in the streets claiming to be on the right and screaming that a black man was being elected president. I really think anyone who had an issue with a black man becoming president was in a very minute minority. The main argument was with policy differences. You may have seen a few racists signs here and there during the campaign, but I assure you they were few and far between. Those people by no means represent the right wing voters. If you can provide a host of prominent right wing leaders that made racial comments then so be it. But, I think you are basing your statements off of what certain people informed you of, but I have not seen any factual evidence to the claims that many right wingers were racist against Obama.
