The hardware is not final. In fact, even some of the tech demos at E3 had 2 separate builds showing increased performance already.
Top images are from the direct feed footage of the trailer shown at the pre-E3 media presentation. The bottom images are taken off screen from the interactive demo on the E3 show floor. I've highlighted certain areas to show were shadows, lighting, textures, polygons and effects have been improved.
And by the way, more improved dev kits are coming to developers next month.
