I don't think there's any need in geting all elitist all of a sudden. It suffices not to pay atention to those threads which are not worth it. All this debate gave the thread some little legs to walk, at least a couple of comments.
Many times I legitemately wrote threads in which I was interested but the community not. I had a right to propose it, the community had a right to not be interested in it. Everybody wins.
Now, about he punctuation and proper gramar, I share your concern. If we, not english speakers, try really really hard to give the language the respect it deserves, moreso all of you, who are our reference at the same time. But excluding people does not necesarily bring more benefits than helping them do things properly.
