glimmer_of_hope said: Absolutly true. It doesn't matter what they relesase, people talk smack against it. DS, 3DS, Wii, Wii U. There are always people that just love to put Nintendo down. .87 million consoles sold ? Doesn't matter. Glasses free 3D....doesn't matter. HD console with a tablet controller ? Doesn't matter. It's all about jealousy. Nintendo releases amazing fun games. And they can't handle the fact they can't play them, because if they buy into Nintendo, they will lose their "hard core" stature. I mean...how stupid is that? Going out of your way to post on a thread how much you don't like a console. I admit i never had a MS console and never will...i don't know why, it's just not for me. But i have never put them down...as a matter of fact i have stuck up for them many times. You see...i am a TRUE gamer. I have supported the industry for many years, and i don't bash peoples products just because i don't like it. I am a fan of games and console advancing. I love the idea of Kinect...although i will never own it. The proof is in the pudding. Nintendo shows a demo of a ps360 game coming to Wii U. And right away these idiots say "not even close to ps360 graphics" because they thought is was an actual Wii U game. These people need to grow up. If you don't like Nintendo thats fine, but get off of the Nintendo threads if your just going to bash. Your not hardcore....your totally softcore. Just take time to browse the threads and see how many are anti Nintendo.....it is amazing ! |
Alright, off the high horse, Jesus of gaming. PS3 and 360 fanboys aren't jealous of Nintendo. How many times do you here Halo fans go "damn that nintendo! I wanna play that new kirby game!" These fanboys hate nintendo cause during the Wii's lifetime, they prefered casuals over the more the harcdcore crowd and you can't deny otherwise. Hardcore gamers have always thought themselves better than casuals, god knows why. Personally, I don't like nintendo because of their lack of varied IPs. All I hear is Mario this, Zelda that, and they have been riding that same boat for the past, like 10 years or more.
Anywho, I don't find the Wii U stupid, just unnecessary and as of yet, i can't see many practical uses for it, other than inventory screens, maps and path finding. I can't see it being much fun, that and I hate tablets.

25 years for Mario, Zelda, and Metroid, 19 years for Kirby

Happy Anniversary, you games are still great and always bring new ideas to the world of gaming.
Innovation is not reserved for yet to be created IPs, innovation transcends that. Understandably you can get sick of a theme, but that does not make the experience fundamentally less unique than the last time around.
Add to that the fact that some people like to play the same experience, only refined, and there's an answer for Areym. What are your thoughts on the EA NHL franchise?

That is true. I guess I'm just not one of those people. Probably while I also don't like Halo, too many halo games for my liking. I don't wanna send the message that I hate nintendo or the franchises, which at this point, are legendary. It's just I wanna see new mascots out of Nintendo. They use to rule during the super NES era. They had tons of different games. It was heaven for me, so many new experiences and now that technology is advancing, making gaming more interactive, I see them throwing the same things over and over and over. I want that super NES variety, that PS2 variety. Those two consoles had a great amount of genres mashed into one console, but if the more devoted Nintendo fans than me are happy then so be it.
ALso, I don't lnow anything about the EA NHL franchise.
