Shit, I'm sad :P  I can see a bonus in speed, you can just turn on the controller and check if people are online, and then turn on the TV.

Not everyone is confortable with technology, turning on TV and selecting Source/HDMI can be hard for some.

Are you telling me that if none of your friends are online you would turn off the console and not play?
