I did just that a month or so after they launched the slim, (and I was able to find it for $280 tax included). The new one is quieter and cooler. I have since transfered all of my saves to the slim and use it as the primary gaming machine.

I respect the fats hardwate too much to put her through any more gaming marathons.

The beautiful chrome and gloss black 60 gig will live on. The memory of paying for the best tech ever at $600 will always be represented through her shimmering glory filled memories.

haha,yes well i never understand the people that find these old phats ugly,i think they one of the best looking consoles,i'd retire her now if i could,i'm hoping she'll last until i can,i'm even using her on the net while i sort out my broken laptop,she is having to do everything right now movies,games and net,poor old thing
