Deep down I think some people hate 'casual' games and gamers so much because they see people having a fantastic time with games and they think, "They're playing such a _boring_ game! If they knew anything about gaming, they'd be into Halo but they're just new at it and have no idea what's really fun. Wii Sports (or insert other Wii game here) would be $6.95 on the playstation store!"
The thing is, you don't have to be a casual gamer to be uninterested in games that take themselves to seriously, or to be uninterested in first person shooters. You can just be someone interested in having a good time with games and not getting serious with it.
