Sorry STAGE, I agree with smroadkill15. A lot of Kinect titles have core gamer appeal. How can you possibly consider a game like Sly, or Starhawk, but ignore Ryse, or Fable?

It's not just what you're interesting in that counts, I bet you that Fable Kinect will noticably outsell Starhawk, and lots of core gamers would appreciate it. I mean how can you say the PS3 has more to offer, when you don't even know about the entire 360 linup? You only look into one console, but ignore anything the other has to offer since you likely don't own it.

From Start to finish, 360 has more exclusives. PS3 only started to outpace 360 after 2009, and even then 2010 was lackluster on both consoles. If you look on Wikipedia, there are something like 186 360 exclusives (68 console), 182 of which made it to Americas/EMEAA, but only 123 PS3 exclusives (8 console), 94 of which were released outside Japan. In total there are a lot more 360 exclusives, almost twice as many outside of Japan, and you might argue that 360 has Lips games to fill up the list, well PS3 has Buzz so This list includes all games released up to the end of 2011, and I did not count any titles without conformed release dates (so no Steel Batallion, and other TBA 2011 titles).

Also, this is all your opinion. Labeling all Kinect games as casual, and unappealing to "core" gamers just shows ignorance. Mario Kart is a casual game, but it's probably one of the most lasting, and satisfying game purchases this generation. Ratchet & Clank, Sly Cooper, Super Mario Galaxy, Motorstorm, etc are all great fun games, that largely target casual gamers, but core gamers can still enjoy.

Also many Kinect games, are clearly targeted towards core gamers. Ryse is probably more of a "core" game (however you define it, i feel for you it's a matter of preference), then almost any other traditional controller based game showed at E3. Fable: The Journey, is no less of a core game then Fable 2 or 3, and I'm sorry, but Dance Central is just fun.

The fact that you still separate casual games, and appealing games is ludicrous. Many many games, can be both, and many of the Kinect games you pass off are aimed at the "core" market. Can a real "core" gamer not go and enjoy Mario Kart, or Dance Central? Just because these games largely target casual gamers, doesn't mean that they aren't good games.

So please, stop trying to argue you're opinion as the consensus. I've seen you reference Bonus Round on GT poorly as well, never do they say MS has failed the core audience. That's all your interpretation, based off your preferences

I never said that Kinect  is unappealing to the core. I stated its faulty and risky for Microsoft to assume there is a core market for Kinect. Kinect wasn't created to be the peripheral for everyone, but to gather up the casual market the Wii uncovered in 2006. I left that up to sm decide whether casual titles and AAA titles are one in the same.

Mario is a casual title that has a core following (and well most of its characters for that matter) because of its iconic appeal during its time and has grown over the years. Remember when I said in the past that Nintendo has a special core following? Well its true.

Microsoft had more exclusives than Sony from 2005 to 2009- in 2010-11 the numbers all all changed.
