uhhh, i dont remember them lol. The point is that the HD twins are still going to be seeing tons of support in 2012. We already have tons of games confirmed. WIth a price cut, i just dont see why anyone would rather buy a wiiU when they can just wait it out with the cheap and game filled HD consoles.

Once again the same could have been said about the PS2 compared to the Wii before it was launched ...

What you don't seem to be getting is that the kind of people who are buying into the HD consoles now are "late adopters" and their purchasing decisions tend to be completely different than the "early adopters" who will be buying into the Wii U. Many early adopters are willing to pay a significant amount of money to buy a system based off of a handful of interesting games and the potential of the system.

no i get that. But it wont be enough. This is all going by if the HD twins get huge price drops tho.

It's all about percieved value. If nintendo's marketing department play their cards right, they could present WiiU as a home console, tablet, media center, and even secondary portable TV. They could also bundle a game which would showcase the strenght of the system, just they did with wii sports.

A bonus for Wii owners is that all the controllers will work with WiiU, so they won't have to replace their wiimotes, classic controllers and balance boards, just replace the white box and you're ready to go.

I think that even if HD twins get the huge price drops (and it is questionable how huge can they be), WiiU will have a shot. Nintendo priced the Wii just right, I doubt they will make the same mistake as Sony with PS3.
