I had forgotten about silent hill actually, it's true that for the genre it's in, it's pretty well done. Horror movies/ chill movies do not have all that good of a screenplay and that one actually had a story. Though that's a bit why the RE movies are "good" too, the competition doesn't have blockbuster production values.
So besides oldfool, no one liked max payne? I thought it was quite good. PoP is good too, but as the most recent movie, I guess CGI helps a lot to recreate a fantasy universe. TR I actually forgot the plot for it... (i need to take memory pills ^^)
