Has the Apple Ipad Beat the Nintendo Wii U to the Punch?

If beating the U to the punch means throwing out all pad controllers and buttons, then maybe.  To see ONE feature of the U and say it is the whole thing, is to miss the point.  I also trust Nintendo to come up with better games than whomever jumps on the iPad bandwagon.
