Obviously not, since one of those features is integration with iTunes. You'll also need a Netflix, MLB, and NBA subscription, Flickr and Youtube accounts if you want to use its full features.

So my point stands. To use AppleTV I am required to use iTunes for management of media I own. To me that is a negative as it restricts my choices.

I never said it was the only thing AppleTV did, just that I detest Apple forcing me to use only its products and I don't want to be forced to use iTunes.

Right, you admit that the Apple TV doesn't only use iTunes, but you hate it because it only uses iTunes...

I'm out.

lol, you're missing my point. Its not that it has 1000's of apps.. its that I'm forced to use Apple products such as iTunes for managment of my device.

I don't want to do that. I want to use whatever damn management software I choose based on how it works. With other items, like Android, I have that flexibility in ANY given scenario... but that is not the case with Apple. Hell, with Android I can even use multiple legit app stores giving me the best possible prices due to natural competition. Apple doesn't have this.

Now that GoogleTV is merging with the main Android branch, it will easily match anything AppleTV offers as well as freedom of choice.
