Why do People prefer to shoot People?

Same, although I try not to play games as if it's a game. As in, I try to play cautiously, as if my life weren't expendable and I would just respawn if I lost.

 Surely if you play it as if it was a game then you would be more concerned that you are killing people. To me the main point is that it is just a game, and your not really killing people, your just destroying a bit of code, or indeed just triggering its death sequence.
