Did anyone else wanted the ABXY buttons format on the Wii U to be like the GameCube's?

I loved the GC button layout, too bad that Nintendo let others influence their designs so much.

Dont get me wrong, i had some fun times with them, but crap the yellow stick and the fact that i couldnt use the whole n64 controller at once lol
