It's all about the brand name, Wii U and PS Vita are stupid names, but it's intentional, this stuff sells.

XBOX has a nice ring to it, it's silly but easily recognisable.

 

Why do so many think PS Vita is a stupid name? I think it sounds very good.

It isn't TOO bad, but it still sounds silly.
