Plain Wii Motes will be supported for backwards compatibility. New, Wii U games will probably not be (but will be compatible with standard wiimote with WM Plus attached), which is great since it'll un-segment the base while being cheap, since most early adopters who have a Wii also have at least one WMP, and if you don't or need more you can simply buy the WMP add-on. It's really the best decision for everyone. Yeah, developers too, who won't have to be concerned about the market being uneven. And if they want to make something which wouldn't need the extra precision, it's not like they can't simply ignore it.
