No thanks. The industry needs to get away from this loss-leading crap. The PS3 wiped out all the profits made in two generations of total dominance. The videogame industry can't afford to have one its few major manufacturers knocked out of the race just because they blew a loss-leading stunt two generations in a row.
Nintendo weathered the hard years by keeping at least a tiny black margin on their hardware. Sony and MS ought to do the same, lest their investors start asking why they keep making these home consoles, anyway.
