As has been said, both of those franchises are owned by Sony as is Naughty dog, so they aren't going to be sold. Sony probably doesn't give a damn about losing Crash Bandicoot because the series fell off a long time ago. It's not a hot IP anymore. Same goes for Spyro. Ratchet, Jak, and Sly Cooper are much more popular right now and will never go multi-platform as they are first party titles. |
Actually, Crash only went worse AFTER Sony sold them. In fact, all of Sony's Crash Bandicoot games were better than their predecessors, so there was no need to sell them. It was a perfectly good franchise. Just because Jak is owned by Sony, doesn't mean that they wont sell them. In fact, all of the Jak and Daxter games did slightly worse than their predecessors based on the reviews. Unlike the Crash games, which did better than their predecessors before Sony sold the franchises off. Therefore, there is more of a reason to sell the Jak franchise. Jak 4 may or may not be made by Naughty Dog, if there is going to be a Jak 4. Insomniac sold Spyro when Spyro was at its best. Therefore, Insomniac could sell Ratchet. Yes, Ratchet and Jak are owned by Sony. But Crash and Spyro were too, and they sold them off. We don't know. Only Insomniac and Naughty Dog know. And never say never. Nobody ever thought Spyro and Crash would go muli platform. Even Sonic went multi platform. Sly, Ratchet, and Jak could be sold off. Nothing is preventing them from being sold. End of story. |
Ohhhhh, so now on this thread they are good games when Sony publishes them? I see...I'm glad you must have read what I said, then. So stop telling us we should be concerned about Insomniac and Naughty Dog. And stop saying Jak is declining...it went from 90% to 85%. Technically, it got worse if you adhere to percentages that closely, but obviously Jak 3 was still a great game. Anyway, if they are sold that would just mean that they haev something better to work on, like they've shown for the PS3. Still, NO EVIDENCE suggests that they are going to sell these franchises. This is really a non-topic, but you keep bringing it up...over and over... |
I never said any of those franchises were bad when Sony published them. I only criticised the franchises after Sony sold them off. You are making assumptions again. And Jak did decline. But you assume I think he went from good to worse. Technically he did, but even the lesser famed Jak 3 did good. Jak 1 just did slightly better.
Wow, you have absolutely no idea what I was saying in my previous thread... At all... The entire concept of the thread is different then you think it is. It was a prediction thread, not a statement thread, or fact thread.
