For four people I doubt that any complex images could be rendered for each controller.
Keep in mind that even if the controllers have only 480p screens (and it seems they have higher res than that?), rendering four 480p images takes much more computational effort than rendering one 1080p image. So graphics would have to be much simpler than the Wii U can do at its best.
