Why do you need a headset? You have headphones and a microphone included in the controller... oh wait, you don't mean that.

If you mean a peripheral that allows you to attach the WiiU tablet to your head, then I wouldn't count on it... It's possible the games will still work if you make your own but I don't see anything beyond that.

lol I was going to write that next xD your head would fall off (controller weight exagerated)

Something like that can be done, even 3D, VirtualBoy resurrected. Will they make it a controller down the line? Before I would have said no (it was backwards to their thinking), but with all the focus on solo gameplay (one U controller) this solitary VR could be an option.

exactly!

Imagine star fox were you can look around you by moving your head right/left and using the WiiMote as a joystick to go up/down/left/right like a real plane. You won’t need the nunchuck in this game.

A racing game would use the Wiimote as they do already but now you can look around you.

Metroid or any other FPS/A would be awesome and done with fluid movements. Strive with the stick and aim with Wiimote. You do not need the pointer anymore as you have WMplus built in it so it will know where you point without the censorbar just like in Zelda SS.

Imagine the sound that is coming all around you. Use your ears to find people, hidden things that are making sounds or just someone sneaking up on you from behind or a zombie in the room on your left. You will be able to hear everything as if you are there.

I truly believe that if Nintendo wants the hardcore gamer they will do this!

And the thing about 3D glasses well that is a different thing as you have to consider buying for everybody who wants too play. For this device it is only for that one gamer as this will not be playable if you have many people in the same room.
