| Joelcool7 said: Well Nintendo had alot to show. I mean their main emphasis is on selling 3DS units and preparing the market to buy WiiU. Fact is keeping the Wii alive is not high on their priority list. Wii may still be selling but software sales are lacking and support for the platform is beginning to dwindle. The same reason Nintendo switched Pikmin3 over the WiiU. The Wii just isn't a priority right now, Nintendo had alot to show at the show the fact that a new trailer was released at all is good news. Nintendo sees the 3DS's bad position and the possibility that Wii owners won't upgrade to WiiU as the biggest issues for the company. Can you really blame them for not devoting more of the show to the Wii? |
I agree with your analysis but I also find it rather ironic.
Nintendo are supposedly about the games, with hardware merely being a facilitator. In that respect having two platforms with huge install bases of users who are still interested in buying games for their current platforms should be a godsend, not an issue...
Until you've played it, every game is a system seller!
