There would be no point, the demographic just isn't there.  It would flop for sure.  Nintendo will have to do some serious convincing probably before we'll see mass migration over to the Wii U of hardcore games.

when I told some of my friends about the new system, they showed a lot of interest to going back to Nintendo if they have those types of support, everybody remembers the NES and SNES days in my generation so they'd actually have no problem changing systems assuming they'll be as good as their crazy glory days.
