There were a couple of new Wii games shown on the floor itself

Kirby, Rhythm Heaven, Fortune Street, Mario Party 9, Wii Play Motion were all there.

But of these, only Mario Party 9 was actually new - the others had all been shown (or in the case of Fortune Street, released already [in Japan]) before.  Whatever way you look at it, there are very slim pickings for Wii owners from now on, and the Wii U could still be 18 months away.  Such a situation with the GameCube was disappointing, but understandable given the low userbase/software sales.  For the market leading home console, I think it's a bit disgraceful - if I was a shareholder, I would want to know why the company wasn't taking advantage of such a large userbase by releasing at least a few titles from sure-seller franchises thus far (and presumably now always to be) ignored this generation.  (And surely Luigi's Mansion 2 lends itself more to Wiimote control than touchscreen control?)

I agree with this 100%

man, i think its dumb to abandon it too, but i said that they would and they kinda have. Im not happy with it, (especially no Mario Tennis) but what are you going to do??? I can only scream and yell so much. I know one thing, if they pull a Pikmin 3 with Mario Tennis/Golf im buying a Wii U used out of spite

LOL

Until you've played it, every game is a system seller!
