i have an even better analogy.

almost everyone universally thinks Wii Music is total crap. if one core gamer learns to like it, it doesn't mean it's suddenly a core game. it's just one person in a sea of people who hate it.

you're just one person in a sea of people who dislike kinect. therefore, it's not a core game.

But it's a wrong analogy. If Kinect isn't something for core gamers, why is Rise of Nightmares in the works? Ryse? Steel Battalion?

And why are games like Minecraft, Mass Effect 3 and Ghost Recon Future Soldier using it?

Because it's also for core gamers. You sound like someone who saw a grown man playing Pokemon and going "Pffft, Pokemon is for kids.".

that's the point. it's a mistake. they shouldn't be putting a kid's peripheral in a grown man's game. this argument will go on forever. either way, majority says kinect isn't for core gamers. you may be an exception, along with the rest of you 1%, but that doesn't make you right. it just makes you different. majority says kinect is for kids and casual giggle hunters. so it is universally understood as that.

blame the developers not the hardware.  kinect can be used for amazing things like some of the voice commands in game and out.   but it can also be used for pathetic things like "well just watch the star wars demo"

this is not kinects fault, its the developer who made it this kiddy, shitty experience you say.  Kinect is for everyone.  you can take the hardware and make a kiddy experience or an adult one.

please tell me how commanding your troops in mass effect with your voice is at all bad or kiddy?   its basically like having a head set on and teling another person in multiplayer where to go.  is communicating in multiplayer games KIDDY?  so how is telling AI what to do kiddy?

now saying the voice options in dialuge is freaking stupid, but thats just like i said.  that is not kinects fault that is bioware stupidly doing that.
