So you would rather have the Mexican drug cartels making the money and spewing their violence over the USA border. Prohibition doesn't work. You would think the USA learned that lesson during alcohol prohibition. What did we have when we made alcohol illegal? We had more crime, deaths, murders, etc. People were dying from drinking bad alcohol. Drug use by teens/etc in Netherlands is actually less than USA.
How do I argue in court? Well lets see... Marijuana is a naturally grown crop that has been with humans since the beginning. The paper, cotton and other industries don't want marijuana to become legal. You want to know why? Hemp.... Hemp is grown in Europe and many other places for paper. Cotton is one of the most water demanding crops there is. USA encourage farmers to grow hemp during WW2 for rope, etc... I guess after WW2 we didn't need hemp anymore we could just use more expensive methods of producing things (like cutting down trees for paper). I can go on and on do you want me to?
Marijuana is better than all other drugs because you can't overdose and die from it. Sure there are people that are allergic to it or have asthma attack after smoking it. Sure there are people that check themselves into the emergency rooms because they smoked too much or newbie smoker. You know what?? They don't die. Go take 20 Advil and let me know if you live.
