But it's a wrong analogy. If Kinect isn't something for core gamers, why is Rise of Nightmares in the works? Ryse? Steel Battalion?

And why are games like Minecraft, Mass Effect 3 and Ghost Recon Future Soldier using it?

Because it's also for core gamers. You sound like someone who saw a grown man playing Pokemon and going "Pffft, Pokemon is for kids.".

that's the point. it's a mistake. they shouldn't be putting a kid's peripheral in a grown man's game. this argument will go on forever. either way, majority says kinect isn't for core gamers. you may be an exception, along with the rest of you 1%, but that doesn't make you right. it just makes you different. majority says kinect is for kids and casual giggle hunters. so it is universally understood as that.

Sorry, but that's a really bad argument. "The majority is right." is not a proper argument. The Earth wasn't flat because the majority believed it to be a thousand years ago.

Why do you consider voice commands to be casual or kid oriented? Is shouting orders at my squad not more hardcore than choosing orders through a bunch of menus? It's more immersive too!

Is taking a virtual gun apart with a move of your arms and gripping it to move it around not more hardcore than using a joystick for the same thing? I would say so. And way more awesome by the way.

again, it can be the most accurate thing in the world, but waving your arms like an idiot PRETENDING there's something there is still stupid looking. anyway, this is a circular argument. wii music.
