I do, I smoke daily. I'm surprised how many people on this forum are completely misinformed. I only read the first four pages and skipped ahead so I don't know if this has already been covered but : It does not kill brain cells It does not permanently damage memory It does not impair learning, I've smoked every day for 5 years and maintained a 3.5 GPA all throughout college. Some of the best students and most intelligent people I've ever met smoked marijuana. It is not addictive, the National Institute of Health and National Institute of Mental Health both came to this conclusion after extensive research. They showed that marijuana did not work like other drugs and that THC receptors are down-regulated as the user takes in more THC the brain automatically restricts the amount of available receptors it is allowed to attach to. Thus Marijuana tolerance is temporary (after the user stops taking in THC, the brain opens the receptors back up) The only way to become addicted to marijuana is psychologically, in which case you could become psychologically addicted to just about anything given the right environment. In that sense it's probably less addictive then WoW considering that the NIM states that only 9% of all marijuana users can be considered 'addicted' Anyways I smoke daily because it's the most effective treatment I've ever experienced. I suffer from IBS and generalized anxiety and it really relieves both of those like nothing I can pick up at the pharmacy. I do have a vaporizer which would save me from having to experience chronic bronchitis from smoking all the time, but I don't use it much. A good vape is still really expensive in this day and age and the model I have just doesn't really work most of the time (long set up time, requires a large amount of weed) but studies show that there is no increased risk of lung cancer so I don't really worry about that (THC is a proven anti-carcinogen). Really I find marijuana prohibition to be a bad joke, the plant has been used by humans for around 10,000 years. It's older than our modern American empire, it has out lasted every empire to date and will outlast ours. It's really only a matter of time before it is completely decriminalized in the states (Connecticut just signed decriminalization into law today!) and once that happens within a short time I'll be able to buy my medicine from the pharmacy and not a drug dealer. It'll be a great day when Americans aren't funneling 11 billion dollars a year to drug cartels just because our government refuses to acknowledge the complete and utter mistake that the war on drugs was.
edit: oh and to add to that, not only do I get good grades but I'm in great physical shape, I weight lift regularly and have a body fat percentage of 14%; I just got a cavity, but that was the first one I've had in over six years. Just putting that out there to help break down the false stereotype that all marijuana users just sit on their ass all day and have bad teeth. Really it's not that marijuana makes you likely to sit all day on a couch watching cartoons, it's that people who want to sit on a couch all day watching cartoons are likely to enjoy some marijuana with their laziness.
