Looking good so far but I think I have one major complaint: initiating battle. Looks like avoiding battle is going to be much harder and failing to avoid battle will result in a much more annoying battle. They should have sticked to the way it was in FFXIII: attack the enemy's back, get a pre-emptive strike. Normal approach would result in a normal battle. They should simply have made it so that if the enemy got to your back, it would be an ambush (or whatever it was called). I really dislike the current system in FFXIII-2.

I had the SAME complaint.

For me avoiding battles is important in exploration...I don't wanna fight every 20 seconds if I want to "explore" something or look for treasure chests...I wanna just look around and since this game will have secret areas n explorative elements I was worried by that battle starting thing.

I abhor random battles or compulsory battles.

BUT its confirmed that you have an option to NOT fight the battle by simply pressing circle whenever an enemy appears....so that problem is gone now.

So if you want to avoid a battle in can be avoided...if you don't wanna avoid the battle then make the system work for you like you need to do in any game really.

I still think this mog clock could be annoying...but the previews haven't said its annoying or anything.

OT:

YOu can JUMP anywhere in the game by pressing Circle :-0
