"tablet-style controller will not be sold separately" "Nintendo Looking into Games that Support Two New Controllers" http://kotaku.com/5809706/nintendo-looking-into-games-that-support-two-new-controllers Looks like they haven't decided yet, and can't even give a consistent message on it... But the multiplayer demos on the E3 conference were with one tablet controller only (the remaining controllers were Wiimotes). |
My thinking is that until the unveiling at E3 they were thinking of a single controller per system as enough, but given feedback they got at E3 they are now reconsidering that. It looks like the technological limit is 2 per system and not 1 as some thought, or they would not be considering 2.
And yes, a screen on my controller would be a very helpful addition, just like it is very helpful addition to the DS/3DS. Is the touch screen on the DS "gimmicky"? Sorry but no. I prefer full seperation of HUB/inventory/Map screens from game world screen.
