Either way, Insomniac said they were increasing their development time because they wanted to spend more time outside the studio. And right now they're working on three games, so that's about 100 people on each. And traditionally, the first year of their development cycles have been small preproductions running up to the release of the full game, so that's about 100 people with two years to build a full game.
Seems pretty reasonable compared to Naughty Dog. Very few developers can be as productive as them I think.
