You guys need to learn the difference between white hat and black hat hackers. Black Hats are purely out there for destruction and revenge. Lulzsec falls into the black hat domain, although the actions with Nintendo are actually white hat. White hat probes for security holes, then reports them, or posts them publically to force a company to fix them.
Sony shouldn't have had a weak ass system in place for their PSN, it was their own fault that happened. Something that large needs to be absolutely top of the line. I place the blame squarely on Sony, and I think its criminal that they had such a bad system in place. I mean come on, THEY DIDN'T EVEN ENCRYPT THE PASSWORDS!!!!
Are you people only learning now that cyber crime is an issue, there was another one a few years back which cost a company somewhere around a billion dollars, The hacker was caught, and ordered to pay 500 million dollars because the US government didn't think it was possible for a single criminal to cause that much damage to a company. IE 500 million was the maximum the courts could legally fine someone. They have since upped the maximum fine, I think, don't remember too well.
