@Issun: Nope. There are already 5 titles with Gold award and one with Platinium. This is how the full list (made by BKK2) looks like:

I also think that all Gold-awarded titles have a chance to get to 300k before MGS4 release but probably none of this title will get to Double Platinium (600k): so here is a chance for MGS4 to be first. But GTA4 have a chance also and it's released eariler. Also GTA is huge in UK, from 4 Diamond titles (1 mil) 3 are parts of GTA franchise, while MGS2 is only Platinium title.
