They had no choice and it was clear to everyone. Could you imagine what their shareholders would do when MH3 came out on PS3 strugle to hit 500,000 units in Japan? After Dragon Hunter Swords broke 400,000 a year earlier? In fact, I still fully expect MH3 to see PS2 and/or PSP ports. It was a big win to be sure, but Capcom could not POSSIBLY continue ignoring the >3:1 sales ratio in Japan for such an important Japanese title. As much as they tried. The existence of the 360 in the West allows them to extend their ignorance towards Nintendo slightly more.
