In Iwata asks for The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, Iwata asked Aonuma about Twilight Princess and Aonuma responded saying that Twilight Princess had had a sense that the world was too big, and that it could have been more dense.
Now when you think of a Zelda game being dense you think of it being compressed into a tinier world right? Well in my perspective I think that it could mean that the world could be big but have the world filled with tons of side quests, people, and puzzles. Aonuma said not only is was too big, but needed more density.
